Plant Part: Uppermost leaf blade
Sampling Procedure: Collect 15 to 20 of the uppermost leaf blades, which have a distinct collar on the stalk (termed "top-visible dewlap leaf"). Samples should be collected during the "grand growth" period, at least 3 to 5 months after planting. Nutrient levels change during the day. Early morning samples are preferred.
